I went to a Sound Journey at LaVi Sound & Yoga's studio in Jalon. It was my first sound journey and I didn't know what to expect. We were welcomed into a relaxing space with everything set out for us including mats and blankets and all the instruments were on display. I found it both relaxing and mesmerising, at one point I think I was snoozing! The sounds and how they allow your thoughts to come and go during this meditative hour provided an amazing experience of connection of my mind and body with sound, in tune and in a deeply relaxing ambience. It was also intriguing, leaving me wanting to know what instrument was used for which sound. At the end we had the opportunity to view all the instruments which Laura and Vincent had collected over time from different parts of the world. They even had some of those wooden chimes that you could purchase from their shop. I would highly recommend this experience especially if you need to switch off for a couple of hours. Thank you to both of you!
What is a Sound Healing Journey?
A sound healing journey is a complete immersion in an acoustic world of sound. A deep connection to your "self" in an essentially intuitive and shamanic universe.
The sounds touch you on a very subtle and deep level of your emotional awareness. They help you to discover and regain sensations in your consciousness and will help you to recognise or remove blockages on different levels of your being.
Unstructured sounds transcend our intellect and logic to give room for the mind's creativity in total freedom. Vincent creates different sound atmospheres based on flute, drum, gong, singing bowl and many more. Here you can be completely bathed in sound and immerse yourself in this wonderful and unique experience.

Possible effects of a Sound Healing Journey.
The effects of sound healing and sound journeys are very individual and depend on the respective problems in body and mind.
The sounds have a calming effect on your nervous system and can relieve muscle tension and pain. The soothing sounds calm your mind and lead you into a meditative state. Because the instruments stimulate the alpha and theta brain waves, the brain waves that are also active in deep meditation. This can reduce stress and anxiety and create a feeling of well-being.
